DESCRIPTION:This is a two-part series\, so participants must pay up front for both sessions (taking place on November 2 and November 9). To register for the full series\, please select one of the ticket options below. \nLearn to make bowls in the ancient rock and paddle style of Peru and beyond. We’ll build a strong\, thin-walled bowl (perfect for holding cereal or popcorn) at the first session and paint it with glazes at the second session. \nThis class will be taught by artist and educator Julie Nussbaum. Julie has a diploma in fine arts\, is certified to teach K-12 and has worked with people of all ages and abilities.

DESCRIPTION:VIBES stands for Voice\, Imagination\, Body\, Ensemble and Storytelling. In this class\, we’ll explore using your voice\, imagination and body to perform and create by playing improv games\, experimenting with music and building our own unique performances together as an ensemble. You’ll also get the chance to remix popular stories in your own style and bring your ideas to life on stage and screen. We’ll also team up to make a music video that shows off everything we’ve learned! If you like performing\, creating or just trying something new\, this club is all about energy\, teamwork and making your ideas shine. \nThis class will be taught by Cotting School Music & Performing Arts Teacher Alison McCarron. Alison got her Master of Education at Lesley University and her bachelor’s in musical theater at University of New Hampshire.

SUMMARY:Guided Paint Night
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Guided Paint Night\, where participants follow along with an instructor to create their own unique piece of artwork. She will provide step-by-step instructions and demonstrations to ensure that everyone completes their painting\, regardless of skill level.  The focus is on having fun and expressing oneself creatively\, rather than producing a masterpiece. All supplies–including canvases\, paint\, brushes and aprons to protect your clothing–will be provided. Please dress in clothes that are okay to get paint on them\, just in case. All attendees will leave this event with a beautifully painted canvas. \nThis class will be taught by Aly Robinson\, a former Cotting staff member and former Muse Paint Bar employee. Aly is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and trained art educator with a degree from MassArt. \nThis month’s painting is titled “A Walk in the Woods.”
