SUMMARY:Pottery Class: Glaze a Mug and Coaster
DESCRIPTION:Have fun with glazes! Each participant will have the opportunity to paint a mug and a coaster with low-fire glazes. You may choose whether to keep them for yourself or give them to someone you care about as a gift (they make a great gift set!). We will provide the supplies. Your items will be fired in a kiln after this class takes place; they will be available to pick up at CTI the following week. \nThis class will be taught by artist and educator Julie Nussbaum. Julie has a diploma in fine arts\, is certified to teach K-12 and has worked with people of all ages and abilities.

SUMMARY:Guided Paint Night
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Guided Paint Night\, where participants follow along with an instructor to create their own unique piece of artwork. She will provide step-by-step instructions and demonstrations to ensure that everyone completes their painting\, regardless of skill level. The focus is on having fun and expressing oneself creatively\, rather than producing a masterpiece. All supplies–including canvases\, paint\, brushes and aprons to protect your clothing–will be provided. Please dress in clothes that are okay to get paint on them\, just in case. All attendees will leave this event with a beautifully painted canvas. \nThis class will be taught by Aly Robinson\, a former Cotting staff member and former Muse Paint Bar employee. Aly is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and trained art educator with a degree from MassArt. \nThe painting we’ll be creating at this event will be a snowy mountain scene.
