Curriculum will support the growth of executive functioning skills including decision making and organization of steps and sequences needed to complete various tasks. DESCRIPTION:Love to cook? Want to learn some basic skills that will increase your independence in the kitchen? Then come to CTI’s Back to the Basics Cooking Class–Breakfast Edition. We will work on simple cooking skills (such as dicing\, scrambling\, using the stove or microwave)\, find ways to adapt the kitchen to meet individual needs\, find the correct kitchen tools for you and make a basic breakfast together with as much independence as possible. We will wrap the class up by enjoying a lovely meal with friends. Recipe card and helpful cooking guides included with this class. We will announce what specifically is being cooked closer to the date!

Participants will be baking homemade sweet or savory hot pockets and sweet monkey bread. \nWhether you are an experienced baker or aspiring to be one\, come check out CTI’s once-a-month Baking Club! We will be picking recipes that fit all participants’ dietary needs\, and everyone will be able to take the treats we bake home to enjoy with their friends and family. Participants will decide together whether they’d prefer to bake something sweet (like cookies) or savory (like bread). Each participant will also get to take home a recipe card and helpful baking guide!
