SUMMARY:Foundations First Physical Therapy In-Person Caregiver Seminar
DESCRIPTION:Caregiver Body Mechanics with Dr. Paige Ryan\n\nWe will be joined by Paige Ryan\, Doctor of Physical Therapy and founder of Foundation First Physical Therapy. Paige offers in-home pediatric PT\, equipment evaluations and a 6-month caregiver coaching program to support families raising children with disabilities.\n\nAt this seminar\, we’ll focus on caregiver body mechanics — how to lift\, move and carry in ways that protect your body and prevent injury. You’ll also learn a few simple exercises that can help you stay strong and supported in your caregiving role. \nWe’ll wrap up with a short mindfulness/relaxation practice so you can leave feeling refreshed and at ease. A Q&A will follow\, so bring your questions! \nThis session is intended for caregivers only. If you do need to bring your CTI participant with you\, there will be the option for a drop-in lounge complete with games with Erika Cain\, Program Manager.
