SUMMARY:Ceramic Bells: Studio Without Walls Project--Session 3
DESCRIPTION:Part 3 of 4 in this ceramic series. Whether you have an accomplishment to celebrate or just want to make a joyful noise\, come learn how to make ceramic bells. We will use pinch pot techniques for the bells and make beads for the clapper and decorations. Once they’re finished\, the bells we make will be installed next to the Longwood T station in Brookline as part of a summer-long art festival through Studio Without Walls. The main goal of Studio Without Walls is to help provide artists with funds to get creative and give them a space to share their artwork. \nThis project is a four-part series that is free for all participants to attend. If you sign up\, you are required to be able to attend at least two of the four sessions to ensure consistency and that we create enough bells for the festival. Please note that the ceramic bells will not go home with participants\, but will be used in the public art installation. We encourage class participants to attend the opening art exhibit reception on Saturday\, May 30 for all artists who helped to create the bells. \nThis class will be taught by Julie Nussbaum\, who has a diploma in fine arts\, is certified to teach K-12 and has worked with people of all ages and abilities.
