Creativity with Clay: Leaves are Falling

Are you interested in working with clay? Come to CTI to make a small plate or bowl in this class and explore slab construction and clay slip. We can add handles and feet to your artwork if desired. We will celebrate the beauty of fall by pressing leaves or other objects into the clay to create our surface design. The final touch will be painting with colored slips. When your work is dry enough, we will remove the leaves and objects, so they don’t burn up in the kiln! Instructor will apply a clear glaze to all pieces. This class is a one evening only session and will be taught by Julie Nussbaum, who has a diploma in fine arts, is certified to teach K-12 and has worked with people of all ages and abilities.
