Music Exploration: Electronic Instruments & Apps
Music Exploration is designed to foster creativity in a positive and supportive social environment. Participants will learn about different styles of music, try out a variety of instruments, improvise and make music together. Each session will be different to allow for maximum musical exploration, but will always focus on creative expression and confidence, ending with a group sing-along (lyrics will be provided). No prior music experience is necessary. Taught by Cheyenna (Chey) Eagle, an MT-BC graduate with a degree in Music Therapy with a concentration on oboe. Chey specializes in working with children and adults with multiple disabilities and has taught adapted music lessons with a variety of instruments. She completed the Neurologic Music Therapy training through the Academy of Neurologic Music Therapy and is an adapted music teacher at Powers Music School in Belmont.
This week, we’ll explore the wonderful world of tech and music by trying out a variety of electronic instruments and music making apps designed to make music accessible and fun for everyone!
