Daily Living Skills: Emergency Preparedness
Daily Living Skills is designed to support the development of the capabilities needed for independent living. The curriculum strengthens transition skills and executive functioning, including decision making and the ability to organize the steps and sequences needed to complete various tasks. Participants will learn essential emergency preparedness skills to help them stay safe and confident in a variety of situations. Topics may include creating an emergency kit, understanding emergency alerts, identifying trusted helpers, knowing when and how to call 911 and developing strategies for staying calm during emergencies.
