Daily Living Skills Group
Daily Living Skills Groups are designed to support the growth and development of the skills needed for independent living. Curriculum will support the growth of executive functioning skills including decision making and organization of steps and sequences needed to complete various tasks. This group will be run by Erika Cain, the program manager at CTI. She has 10 years of experience teaching, with 4 years of experience teaching transition skills specifically. Session 1 topic–All things laundry! We will be covering how to use the washing machine and dryer. We will learn to sort clothes based on their color, and how to read clothing tags in order to know how to clean your items. We will learn how to make our own stain remover, and we will get to stain a shirt in order to practice taking the stain out. You will leave this class with many helpful handouts and guides that will help you be successful doing your own laundry at home!
